About
Three years ago I was treating back to back, six days a week. Patients would come in, start improving, then disappear after two or three sessions. They were not finishing their treatment. They were not getting the results I knew we could deliver.
It was frustrating. I knew I could help these people if they stayed long enough to complete the plan. But I had no system for making that happen. I was too busy treating to fix the problem.
And I had spent tens of thousands of pounds trying to fix the wrong one. Clinical courses to feel good enough. Business courses. Marketing agencies pushing free assessments. I burnt out more than once. I rushed a hire because I was desperate, and it cost me. I could not switch off, and I was not present with the people I love.
I was watching patients leave before they got better, wondering if this was just what running a clinic looked like.
The turning point
I sat down one evening and asked myself a question I had been avoiding. How many of my patients are actually finishing their treatment plans?
The answer was 2.4 visits. Most patients were leaving before session three. They were not getting the outcomes they came for.
So I stopped everything else and focused on one thing. How do we help patients understand that recovery is a process, not a one-off fix?
Within six months our visit average went from 2.4 to 6. Patients started completing their treatment plans. They got the results they came for. And the clinic grew because of it.
My clinic, before and after
Same patients. Same team. Same clinic. Just a different system.
They get the results they came for. Not a quick fix that wears off.
Happy patients who finished their plans and got better, with a new review coming in most days across the team.
Great outcomes whether I am in the room or not.
When people get results, they tell their friends and family.
Free to mentor the team, improve systems, and focus on complex patients, while still treating every week.
Patients still got great care. Nothing broke.
Why this is different
Most people selling advice to physios stopped treating years ago, or never ran a clinic at all. Here is where I stand.
I treat patients every week and mentor a clinical team every day. The advice you get was used in a real diary this morning, not remembered from five years ago.
Rent, wages, cancellations, summer dips. I run the same clinic you do, and everything I teach was tested on my own numbers first.
You will not hear about units, conversions or hacks. We talk about patient journeys, outcomes and clinical standards, because that is what actually grows a clinic.
Why I started Physio Mentor
Once patients started finishing their plans and getting real results, other clinic owners noticed. The conversations always started the same way. “How are your patients getting such good outcomes?”
Most clinic owners are brilliant clinicians. But nobody teaches you how to keep patients engaged long enough to finish their treatment. So brilliant clinicians end up with inconsistent diaries, and patients end up with half-finished recoveries.
I started Physio Mentor to help other clinic owners give their patients better results. Through better systems for keeping patients on track, completing plans, and achieving the outcomes they came for.
“Better patient outcomes changed everything. The business followed.”
When patients complete their treatment plans, they get better results. They leave happy. They refer others. That is the system I built, and that is what I help other clinic owners do.
20 minutes. I will show you where patients are dropping off, why they are not completing treatment, and what you can do about it.
